Goals The aim of the course is to show that archaic mythology is an important resource that provides an understanding of modern mythology which functions as an ideology in today's societies. It is aimed to use psychoanalytic theory and Joseph Campbell's monomite theory for this course.
Course Content The aim of the course is to provide a very valuable accumulation that contributes to the analysis of basic cultural codes. In the course, it is aimed to open the discussion to mythology and oral narratives to enable the student to view all social narratives from a broad perspective. It is aimed to use psychoanalytic theory and Joseph Campbell's monomite theory for this course.
Learning Outcomes 1) Students recognize the relationship between mythology and ideology.
2) Students learn the mythical structure in oral narrations
3) Students investigate oral narratives and folklore material decomposition and results.
