Goals The course aims to introduce the techniques of visual-ethnographic documenting, and improve certain cultural analyses on photography and film.
Course Content The course includes the discussion of the theoretical and ethical problems related to ethnographic photograph and film, and also the illumination of importance of documenting the ethnographic material by visual methods.
Learning Outcomes 1) Students learn what the visual anthropology is and its relationship between folklore.
2) Students learn information about visual ethnography and folklore.
3) Students gain historical knowledge on photography and folklore.
4) Students learn about the usage of photographs in the folkloric researches.
