Goals To comprehend the regulation rules of the musical material for various instrument communities and symphonic orchestra with the accompaniment of the theoretic knowledge.
Course Content Strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, piano, harp.
Learning Outcomes 1) They identify the appropriate style of a music work for Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern orchestra.
2) They identify the resonance characteristics of strings, wind and percussion instruments.
3) They acquire the skill in that to which instruments/instrument groups, structural factors such as harmony, counterpoint, texture.
4) They can apply the resonant- balance principle in the sound and chord folding.
5) They identify different orchestration techniques and styles used in Baroque, Classical, Romantic periods and 20th century music.
