Goals Teaching the alphabet and orthographic sings, building up the basic words by the texts and simple words and giving to student reading, comprehensing and speaking ability.
Course Content The alphabet, orthographic sings, basic words and sentences.
Learning Outcomes 1) Introducing the terminology of contemporary Arabic in various fields.
2) Introducing the products of contemporary Arab writers.
3) Introduction of modern Arabic texts.

2. Week Greeting, saying goodbye

3. Week Common idioms and terms used in mutual talks, self introduction.

4. Week Examples of the use of the concept of masculinity/femininity according to person.

5. Week Asking questions about the environment

6. Week A dialogue and exercises about the airport.

7. Week Speaking with people from other nations, Arabic affixs like li, li, -cu etc. Using and practicing Yâ al-Nisba.

8. Week Use of numbers 1-10. Days of week and exercises.

9. Week Reporting time; hours, month names and seasons, exercises related to them.

10. Week Reporting time; Days, hours, months and seasons and texts and exercises about them.

11. Week A day at school.

12. Week A dialogue in the cafe, some food and beverage names.

13. Week Dialogues about meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

14. Week An overview; Reading and reinforcing textualized dialogues.
