Goals The aim of this course is to introduce the public relations models, to show the connection between theory and practice, to learn the ability to evaluate applications made through learned theories and models. It is also the purpose of this course to ensure that students practice and connect the theory of practice to their theory.
Course Content Introduction to Public Relations Theories, Historical Development of Public Relations in The World and Turkey, Fundamentals of Public Relations Theories, Organizational Theory Approaches, The Public Relations Excellence Theory, Situational Theory, Game Theory, System Theory, Behavior-Cognition Theories, Relationship Theories, Persuasion Theories,(Social Theoretical Approaches,Constructivist Approaches,Agreement Orientation Approaches, Public Relations in the Digital Age, Activism, Crisis Management and Conflict Management, Effectiveness and Measurement Evaluation in Public Relations
Learning Outcomes 1) 1.Defines public relations researches. Defines public relations theories and models.
2) 2. Exemplifies the public relations theories and models.
3) 3. Evaluates applications related to the field according to theories and models.
4) 4. Explains developments related to public relations.
5) 5. Interpretatives interpretations of public relations.
6) 6. Recognizes the target mass and evaluates whether it is beneficial in terms of a topic or opinion.
7) 7. Reveals basic information about public relations and advertising in relation to areas such as marketing, design, public relations, crisis and problem management, campaign management, political and organizational communication.
8) 8. Evaluates the structure of theory-practice integrity in public relations and advertising practices.
9) 9. Applies to the field and evaluates implementations.
