Goals Course of Cinematography is designed to provide theoretical training on film analysis.
Course Content In this course you will learn the role of lightning, camera movement, editing, framing, and etc. in the films and their meanings.
Learning Outcomes 1) Defining cinematographic concepts such as shot, scene and sequence.
2) Discussing how the formal elements of the movies make contribution to create meanings.
3) Defining the scales of shot and camera movements.
4) Learning the meaning of different lens selections.
5) Evaluating the differences between classical and contemporary editing.
6) Learning how the elements like colour, sound and lighting create cinematographic meanings.
7) Distinguishing the differences between theatre and motion picture acting.
8) Comparing the realistic and formalist theories.
9) Distinguishing the realistic and formalistic aspects of movies.
10) Using these information when making movies.
