Goals
This course aims to provide the students with the knowledge about the major events related to radio history, the main concepts related to radio broadcasting and programming and enable them to create a radio programme.
Course Content
History of radio, Radio broadcasting and programming.
Learning Outcomes
1) Explain the main concepts related to radio broadcasting and programming.
2) Summarize the important events in the historical development of radio with referring to the date of the event and the name of the person in radio history.
3) Define the technical specifications and functions of radio.
4) Name the genre of a radio programme.
5) Explain the concept of the target audience and its features.
6) List the main components of the radio programme and use them in own programmes.
7) Use the main elements of radio programme for own works.
8) Create a radio programme within the exact timeline by doing the street interviews that held in the framework of the interview stages and by editing the programme in digital editing software
9) Create a public interest radio spot within the exact timeline by following the steps outlined in radio program production process.
10) Read at least one novel, go to the cinema, the theater, the classical music concert, the opera and attend an art exhibition at least once.
