Goals The aim of the course is to learn the risks and protection of mental health problems in adolescents, the principles of diagnosis and treatment of psychological and psychiatric problems, gender identity, identity confusion, somatization disorders, gain the knowledge and skills to approach substance and other abuses, neglect and sexual, physical and psychological abuse. Learn the refferral criteria for adolescent and adult psychiatry.
Course Content The content of the course is to; healthy psychosocial development of the child and possible problems in the process, healthy relationship management between adolescents and family, risk factors in terms of psychopathology, common psychopathologies in adolescence, somatization disorders, depression, anxiety disorders, sleep disorders, attention deficit and hyperactivity, bipolar disorder, psychological approach to child abuse , gender identity problems, behavioral disorders in adolescents, social phobia, suicide, eating disorders, adolescent with chronic illness, psychiatric approach to substance abuse and other addictions, violence and bullying in adolescents.
