Goals The aim of this course is to enable students to understand the architecture of the current database management systems and the methods used in designing the database system solutions to real world problems.
Course Content Entries to the database. Database design. Relational and logical database models. Query processing and optimization. Distributed databases, data processing, recycling, and recovery and timing control. Security and validity limitations. Extended relational, object-oriented database systems and experts. Current research topics.
Learning Outcomes 1) Designs and implements database systems for different problems.
2) Makes queries and updates on the databases.
3) Makes data modeling.
