Goals Turkish Educational System and School Management” is a course aimed at recognition of candidate teachers’ understanding the education system as an organizational structure and understanding the management process of the education system. In the context of “Turkish Educational System and School Management”, the objectives of Turkish educational system and basic principles, the legal basis of the educational system, the structure of the educational system, management theories and management processes, the features of the school organization, the managemet of curriculum, student affairs, personnel affairs, support services and budget affairs, the supervision of education, school environment relationships, ethics in education are studied to have candidate teachers’ to understand different aspects of Turkish educational system and school management and to have knowledge about them.
Course Content The content of the course consists of the legal basis of Turkish educational system, the organization of it, school management, the supervision of education, school environment relationships, ethics in education, protocol in administration and career management in education.
Learning Outcomes 1) 1) Explains the basic terms related with education (education, teaching, right to education, equality of opportunity, compulsory education, free boarding education)
2) 2) Knows the the concept of system and approach, the elements of system, analyzes Turkish educational system with system approach.
3) 3) Get informed about the historical and social development of Turkish educational system.
