Goals In this course, the definition, development and evaluation of self-care and daily life skills, adaptive behaviors and social skills and teaching methods to support these skills will be examined and individualized education programs will be developed.
Course Content a. Distinguishing the concepts of adaptive behavior, social skills and social competence, b. To define these concepts, to have knowledge about their importance and development, c. Assessing children's performance in these skills, d. Preparing a teaching plan e. Developing materials to support these skills and f. It is the subject of having knowledge about various teaching methods and techniques used in teaching.
Learning Outcomes 1) Explain the basic concepts of independent living skills and classify these skills.
2) Explain the development of independent living skills.
3) Assessments independent living skills.
4) Plans the teaching in accordance with the assessment results.
5) Organizes and develops materials to develop these skills.
6) He/she teaches by using appropriate teaching methods.
