Goals The aim of this course is to learn the particle sources, operating principles and parameters required for accelerators, to understand electron sources, their types, designs and requirements, and to see ion sources, their types and application areas.
Course Content Particle Sources, electron sources, termoionic emmision electron source, photocathodes, current limits, ion sources, classification of ion sources, proton and heavy ion sources, antiparticle sources, neutron sources, usage areas of particle sources
Learning Outcomes 1) Learns the concept of particle source
2) Learns the electron source, working principles, types, parameters and areas of usage
3) Have knowledge about ion sources and its classifications
