Goals In this course, the works on examples for forensic cases that happen in various locations will be taught along with archaeological applications where forensic cases ocur. The main purpose of this couse is to teach how to apply the archaeological methods for removal of skeletal remains, choosing the appropriate excavation methods and various collection methods for biological and physical evidences.
Course Content The definition of forensic archaeology, basic terms and concepts; methods of archaeological excavations; documentation techniques and applications.
Learning Outcomes 1) Gains knowledge on the definition and applications of forensic archaeology and its place within forensic sciences.
2) Gains knowledge about archaeological excavation techniques and their applications on forensic cases
3) Gains knowledge on documentation techniques and how to apply them on forensic cases.
