Goals To teach the genetic methods used in the field of anthropology.
Course Content 158/5000 Areas of knowledge used in the reconstruction of old human societies, based on current and genetic analysis of skeletal remains.
Learning Outcomes 1) Explain the development of molecular anthropology and understand the genetic material in the cell
2) Learn the relationship between various biological specimens and DNA potentials and learn biochemical properties of DNA (aDNA) of the past
3) Learn the content of aDNA studies at the individual, family and community levels
4) Gain information about the reliability of past DNA
5) Become familiar with ethical and legal issues in past DNA studies
