Goals This course builds and further develop narrative skills in Chinese.
Course Content • Studies of verbal expression on talking about marriage, ceremony and responsibility • Studies of verbal expression on data transfer and telling story • Studies of verbal expression on describing an event, speaking about art, talking about cultures and handcrafts and expressing an opinions • Studies of verbal expression on benchmark, events and appearences, view description, data transfer, encouragement, comperation, data transfer related on culture, expressing an opinion, asking questions, answering questions, talking about society and enviroment, expressing concern about the social life, expressing the opinion about social consensus conditions and bringing forward scientific methods • Repetion of the subjects which were taught in last 4 weeks • Studies of verbal expression on going to the restaurant, making a surprise, ordering meal and telling on an event and making decisions on some issues • Studies of verbal expression on celebreting marriage, presenting an opinion about a wedding ceremony, responsing and making a decision on some issues • Studies of verbal expression on status of the women in the social life in China and Men's and women's working conditions • Studies of verbal expression on working plans after the graduation and parents opinion about their child's work • Repetion of the subjects which were taught in last 4 weeks • Studies of verbal expression on Chinese festivals, features and celebration forms of festivals which celebrated in China's rural areas, a foreigner participation to festival and his/her opinion on the subject • Studies of verbal expression on reading Chinese stories, talking about the authors, giving a brief about a subject which not understood and author's introduction and short life stories • Studies of verbal expression on shopping, bargaining and making a comparison between Eastern and Western-style clothes and furnishings • Studies of verbal expression on making a job application, going to interview, self introduction and specifying self-interest during the interview • Studies of verbal expression on talking about education in China, primary education and family's opinion and actions on their children education • Repetion of the subjects which were taught in last 5 weeks
Learning Outcomes 1) Will build main narrative skills in Chinese.
2) Will further develop to express and compose ideas.
3) Will learn further application of sentence patterns and enhance grammar skills.
4) Will develop grammar skills with the aid of audio-visual instruments.
5) Will further apply new grammar skills into conversational skills.
