Goals This course aims at providing students with knowledge about the process of television programme production.
Course Content The process of television programme production.
Learning Outcomes 1) Explain the importance of visual and audio media in contemporary life.
2) Describe the difference between public broadcasting and commercial broadcasting.
3) Recognize all the stages of television production and documentary filmmaking.
4) Organize the preliminary research for a television program or film.
5) Prepare the budget for a television program or film.
6) Plan the stages of recording of a television programme or film.
7) Select the subject matter of programme by considering not only its interesting aspects but also its social value when developing a new idea for production.
8) Find the people who can provide financial support to production.
9) Prepare a programme proposal to the TV channels.
10) Collect equipments and people required to operate them for the production.
11) Plan the promotional campaign for a programme.
