Goals Describe the important events and developments of Turkey's political life,major currents of political thoughts and the institutions that have an important place in political life.
Course Content It is a content that describes the political structure, political philosophy and important political developments from the Ottoman Empire to the present.
Learning Outcomes 1) 1. Explain the key milestones of Turkey's political life
2) Knows the important actors and institutions that play a role in political life of Turkey
3) 3. Describes political movements and thoughts which the decisive role in the political life of Turkey
4) 4. Recognizes the major political parties in Turkeys political life.

6) 6. Analyze the main variables of Turkey's modernization process
7) 7. Evaluate the fundamental dynamics that play a role in the democratization process in Turkey.
