Goals It is aimed to introduce the emergence of art, the nature of human activity called art, the explanation of the concept of art and the emergence of the science of art history and the auxiliary branches of science in art history.
Course Content To process the transition from hunter-gatherer to settlement through art objects and to determine the role of art in humanity and social history.
Learning Outcomes 1) Having knowledge on theories concerning the emergence of art.
2) Learning Art History as a discipline and developing the ability to comprehend its relationships with other disciplines.
3) Gaining knowledge about the social history of art.
4) Having knowledge on modernism and modern art theories.
5) Improves the ability to think about the artist and art creation by examining the production dimensions of the work of art.
6) Develops the ability to make iconographic and iconological analysis in art history.
7) Gains the ability to criticize style in the context of art history.
