Goals The aim of the course is to introduce the development history and samples of architecture in different cultures since the Prehistorical ages.
Course Content Starting from Prehistorical age architectural developments of Anatolian, Egyptian, Iran, Mesopotamian, Creten, Mycenean, Greek, and Roman cultures will be handled.
Learning Outcomes 1) Gaining knowledge about concepts of architect, architecture, and architectural history.
2) Gaining ability to identify the Ancient Egyptian architecture and building types in a general view.
3) Gaining ability to identify the Mesopotamian architecture and building types in a general view.
4) Gaining knowledge about the Hittite architecture and building types in a general view.
5) Learning about samples of Crete architecture in a general view.
6) Apprehension about Mycenean architecture in a general view.
7) Obesrvation of Greek architecture and samples of building types in a general view.
8) Learning about the Roman architecture and building types in a general view.
9) Identifying Partian and Sasanian architecture in a general view.
