Goals To give information about Early Christian and Byzantine art and architecture and to convey how the character of Byzantine art was shaped in this period
Course Content the origin and development of the Christian religion, its geographical and cultural dimensions, its outlines, the history of art and architecture, the significance of Early Christian and First Byzantine Period, and the major periods of Byzantine art and architecture.
Learning Outcomes 1) By giving information about the Early Byzantine Era, how the character of Byzantine art was shaped during this period
2) By giving information about the Early Byzantine Era, how the character of Byzantine art was shaped during this period
3) Origin debate is done by focusing on the first churches.
