Goals * Perceiving the changing characteristics of European Art and its artist by the New Age * Understanding the power of art in reflecting the social and political order * Understanding the effect of social, religious, economic, political, climatic and technological situations on the stylistic change in art history * To gain a general perspective on history and to have a command of European Art terminology * To learn the literature about the course
Course Content In this course, revealing the parallel structure between culture and architecture, different aspects of architecture and art in European Art as the projection of culture are evaluated. Students are expected to participate of the discussions in the classroom, to follow the weekly readings given and to do their homework.
