Goals This course builds and further develop knowledge in Chinese philosophy including major political, economical, cultural influences.
Course Content • Explaining the period of Chinese legends • Explaining the structure of thought at Shang and Xia Dynasty • Giving an information about Baijia thoughts which was emerged at Zhou Dynasty • Giving an information about four fundemental thoughts when the Spring - Autumn and Warring Emirates period • Repetition of the subjects which were taught in last 4 weeks • Giving an information about the structures of thoughts in Qing Dynasty period which was first center government in China •Confucian School of thought- First Part •Confucian School of thought- Second Part • Mo School of Thought • Repetition of the subjects which were taught in last 4 weeks • Dao School of thought- First Part • Dao School of Thought- Second Part • Fa School of Thought • The effects of Buddhism on Chinese society • The effects of Buddhism on Chinese history • Repetition of the subjects which were taught in last 5 weeks
Learning Outcomes 1) Will recognize ancient mythical era in Chinese philosophy.
2) Will build further develop knowledge in Shang-Han-Tang period's thought and philosophy.
3) Will build further develop knowledge in Tang-Qing period's thought and philosophy.
4) Will develop Chinese history with the aid of audio-visual instruments.
