Goals The course aims to teach students how to consciously read literary works. In order to provide students with this sonsciousness basic concepts of literary criticism and narrative techniques will be analyzed. Basic elements of narrative genres will be analyzed to discuss with which tools to approach a novel, story or poem in order to reveal the underlying meaning. The ultimate aim is for the student to ask meaningful questions and make appropriate interpretations regarding how a good poem/story/novel should be..
