Goals *To have knowledge about the written sources and problems of the Anatolian Seljuk Period To learn the archaeological excavations of the Anatolian Seljuk Period * To evaluate the cultural environment of the Anatolian Seljuk Period
Course Content This course deals with the sources and problems of the Anatolian Seljuk archeology in the context of its historiography. The representation of the Anatolian Seljuk Art in the literature is examined, and then the excavations belonging to the Anatolian Seljuk settlements, and the quality of their exhibitions and representational issues are discussed. Students are expected to participate to the discussions in the classroom and to follow the weekly readings and do the assignments.
