The students who successfully graduate from the programme receive the “Diploma of Faculty of Languages and History-Geography” with the “Art Historian” title. The Art Historians describe, evaluate, interpret and introduce the all products of architecture, architectural decoration, miniature, ceramics, carpet, rug, tile, glass, stucco, ivory, wood and metal handicrafts with the plastic arts like painting and sculpture. They protect the cultural heritage and make their environments conscious in order to provide the conservation and the transmit the art objects to the future generations. The employment area of the art historians is generally the museums; they can also work in The Ministry of Culture and Tourism and its provincial organization, in the General Directorate of Waqfs and its regional offices; the ones who have the certification of teaching profession can teach in the secondary schools of the Ministry of Education. The art historians whom appointed to the museums provide the description and the evaluation of the art objects and they make inventory records and also provide the most proper form of the conservation and if necessary store or introduce them with a very way of exhibition.
