Candidates must meet the following conditions for admission to Doctoral Programs:
a)Candidates with Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree may apply for Doctoral Programs. Turkish students graduated from a university in a foreign country must obtain a certificate of equivalence of their undergraduate issued by the Council of Higher Education in Turkey (CHE). Candidates applying with a Bachelor’s Degree (undergraduate diploma) must have at least 3.00 out of 4.00 CGPA undergraduate degrees. Candidates applying with Master’s Degree must have at least 2.75 out of 4.00 CGPA graduate degrees.
b)Candidates, who intend to apply to Doctoral Programs with Master’s Degree, must have a minimum score of 55 from ALES (National Graduate Education Science Exam) from relevant field or equivalent international exam scores. Candidates, who intend to apply to Doctoral Programs with Bachelor’s Degree, must have a minimum score of 80 from ALES (National Graduate Education Science Exam) from relevant field or equivalent international exam scores.
c)The candidates, who intend to apply to Master’s Programs, must have a minimum 55 score of YDS (National English Proficiency Exams) or equivalent scores from international examinations (e.g. TOEFL), the equivalency of which is recognized by the Council of Higher Education in Turkey. Language score is not required for non-thesis Master’s Degree programs. (Language score may be required due to institute administrative board decision)
d)Candidates are evaluated over 100 points in the admission interview. In admission interview, candidates are evaluated with recommendation letter and oral assessment.
e)ALES Score is not required for graduate programs of Faculty of Fine Arts and State Conservatory.
f)Specific conditions can be requested for admission by the decision of institute board.
