3 ÜPY3 Being the first university of the Republic, with the awareness of social responsibility, it provides services that are sensitive to the problems of the country, considerate the public interest, and contribute to the development and development of the country and the city in which it lives, as an employee of the kitchen of ideas.
4 BPY1 To have the ability to question, research, think deeply and produce knowledge about social phenomena in different dimensions
5 BPY2 Engaging in qualified scientific activities by publishing, especially graduate theses and articles, producing projects and participating in academic meetings, and presenting the resulting products to the public through different means
6 PY1 Students will have contemporary theoretical and practical knowledge and in-depth knowledge in the field of English Language and Literature, based on undergraduate qualifications.
7 PY2 Students will gain extensive chronological knowledge of English Language and Literature, from the emergence of English poetry, drama, novel and prose up to the 21st Century
8 PY3 Students will gain general and basic knowledge of literary genres (features, examples and transformation in different periods) and acquire the ability to appreciate literary works in this respect.
9 PY4 Students will be familiar with the history and the phases of English Literature, alongside with literary, formal and stylistic features specific to each period and discuss them in detail
10 PY5 Students will be able to evaluate, compare, discuss and present English Literature works in line with classical and contemporary literary criticism theories.
11 PY6 Students will be able to understand the use of the English Language in different contexts, for different purposes and forms - daily language, official language, scientific language, literary language, etc. - and use English proficiently both orally and in writing.

13 PY8 Students will analyse literary works using linguistic and stylistic methods

15 PY10 Students will be able to do comparative literature studies using knowledge and skills in English Language and Literature and examining its linguistic features in terms of form, style, content and meaning.
16 PY11 Students will comparatively examine the historical development of different societies in the light of new information and different perspectives
