In the first year of undergraduate education on Sub-Department of Acting of Drama Department, the student comes at a more general basic knowledge of the role and how to prepare for a role in the research and gain the ability to make observations. The student is trained for using the voice and body. The student overlearns the knowledge acquired in his/her sophomore year by in-class  practice. In junior and senior years, the student works with the group and the director during the staging process and deepens this ability by practice.

The aim of the program is to train qualified artists who can think critically and creatively and develope a scientific and artistic view and using it efficiently by following the works on the acting field in the world and Turkey.

The student learns discussing the development of theatre in Turkey from the point of cultural, political and socio-economic development of Turkish society and gets a fundamental line on Turkish theatre from past to present. The student gets a fundamental and general line on the history and theory of theatre from the Ancient Greek to present. The student gets a fundamental and general line on dramaturgy.
