About Program
In this programme, it is aimed to grow up qualified individuals who could work and study in French Literature and Language field and as a language expert, who has knowledge about French novel, poetry, theatre and other prose genre from the beginning to 21st century and about historical, social, economical, political, philosophical, scientific and litterary developments that make a background for these literary genres.
Goals
The Department of French Language and Literature, aims to teach French in various dimensions such as literature , language and culture and to develop students’ oral and written expression skills.
Summary of Program Outcomes
The French Language and Literature Undergraduate Program aims to provide students with French language skills at the highest level and provide information about French literature, culture and civilization. The program allows students to improve their ability to read, analyze and interpret French texts, to be effective in written and oral communication, and to learn and apply methods related to teaching French. In addition, students develop their critical thinking and interpretation skills through literary works and have the competence to conduct research and write in the academic field. These competencies enable graduates to reach an internationally competitive level and build a successful career.
