Goals

The aims of the doctoral program in Islamic Philosophy are to educate qualified researchers who can produce original knowledge, can make researches in national and international areas, can contribute to the field by way of analysis and synthesis, can share knowledge produced with scholarly peers.

Summary of Program Outcomes

Students extend knowledge in the field of Philosophy and Religious Sciences to expert level. Students know domestic and foreign resources to follow developments in the field. Students know original subjects and concepts which will bring innovations to the field. Students conceive the interdisciplinary relation within related fields. Students develop ideas, methods and applications that bring innovations to the field of Philosophy and Religious Studies. Students evaluate new and complicated ideas in the field of Philosophy and Religious Studies, and analyse and synthesize them. Students take part in national and international projects or develop new projects. Students use information and communication technologies in the most efficient way. Students know languages necessary for research in the field (Arabic and Western languages) at advanced level. Students contribute to academic instutitions related to the field of Philosophy and Religious Sciences. Students develop common projects in their field by collaborating with relevant people and institutions. Students evaluate the knowledge of the field in a sistematic way.
