Sinology program’s foundation aims to investigate the Turkish History and Culture. It benefits from Chinese sources. Sinology is a science that deals with China. Sinology Department of the PhD Program gives advanced courses related to Chinese language, history, literature, philosophy and Chinese culture. PhD students of Sinology can give original works on the subject that specializes in graduate and master levels, and they may contribute to the national and international level to Sinology area as a researcher.

Train qualified academicians specialized in Chinese language, history, society, economy, political history, philosophy, science and literature, with scientific thinking skills, who can use knowledge and technology effectively and creatively and with critical thinking skills. To educate academicians field by original national and international works of Sinology.

Program students will have the knowledge about Chinese language, Chinese culture, Chinese history and Chinese literature. Evaluate, compare and discuss these theories. Defines the problems of Sinology research can explain and develop solutions to these problems. Transmits their own works and other works on Sinology field national and international level in written, oral and visual in a systematic manner.
