About Program

Horticulture program gives master (MSc) education and research in growing, breeding, biotechnology, physiology, biology of grapes, fruits, vegetables, ornamental plants and edible mushrooms, seed physiology and postharvest storage of horticultural plants

Goals

Horticulture program aims to provide students with expertise on the fundamentals of horticulture.  The program offers the attainment of basic research skills. According to the area of specialization,the students can select appropriate field and laboratory conditions to perform research studies. Therefore, students graduate from the program with gained ability and skills on their area of research, be aware of scientific, cultural and ethical values as well as health and environmental safety.  

Summary of Program Outcomes

Gains expertise in areas covering horticulture (horticultural biology, physiology, growing techniques, breeding, biotechnology, seed technology, postharvest physiology, handling, storage and marketing). Uses basic research skills to perform research activities on the area of expertise, can access resources and may bring solutions to problems related with the field. Can publish research findings and present in national or international meetings.
