About Program
Depatment of Agricultural Economics has maintaining its workings in the body of Faculty of Agriculture since the year of 1933 when high education started in Turkey.Since then, Academic staff’s contributions to the world of science and technics has continuing by pursuiting of the recent subject areas.Ankara Univesity Agricultural Economics Department has led to establishing of Çukurova, Uludağ and 19 Mayıs Universities’s Departments of Agricultural Economics. Department of Agricultural Economics continues education and training applications at a level of post graduate degree.It supports all works of public institutions and private sector enterprises including the micro and macro issues such as agricultural production economy, policy and development.Before 1983, it had provided training and education in the body of Faculty of Agriculture Post Graduate School.Since then, it has been within the structure of Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences.
Goals
Goal of the program is to create a scientist, who can evaluate agricultural activities from various aspects, analyze the communications between agriculture and recent developments, bring forward a proposal to policy implementers faced with problems, participate in national or international agricultural projects, analyze data through modern and contemporary methods, improve concrete proposals depending on agricultural economics doctor's degree courses schedule.
Summary of Program Outcomes
It contributes to measuring agricultural sector in a global extent, improving proposals for solving problems through the instrument of pattern suggestions, enhancing practicable proposals by researching in micro and macro ways within the scope of agricultural economics.
