Profession of Farm Structures and Irrigation discipline is interested in optimum utilization, conservation and development of water resources, soil-plant-water relations, storage of water, water transmission and distribution structures, land levelling, farm roads, farm irrigation systems, drainage systems, land reclamation, land consolidation, and surveying, feasibility, planning, designing, application and controlling of like these soil and water utilization development projects, controlling environmental condition in farm structures, planning, designing and construction of farmyard, rural houses, cattle barns, sheep barns, poultries, greenhouses, mushroom producing structures, sheds, cereal and feed silos, fruit and vegetable storage structures, manure management, biogas systems and waste water systems structures. In addition these, rural settlement planning, environmental controlling, agricultural information systems, structural and physical development of farm enterprises with the modern technology, generating mathematical models related to agricultural and biological systems in engineering problems subjects are included in this discipline.
Goals
Taking into account national priorities, to give an advanced level of education and training in optimum utilization, conservation and development of soil and water resources with theoretical and practical way. To perform an education for training experts in the field to assess the performance in all irrigation and drainage systems, to implement of technologies that save water for the protection of soil and water resources, the use of wastewater, the establishment of artificial wetlands. Basis on the undergraduate level, to give an advanced level of education and training in planning, designing and construction of all agricultural buildings. To provide advanced level of theoretical and practical information in plannning, designing and implementation of rural settlement planning and land consolidation projects. To provide information of integrating climate change effects on agricultural production. To gain skills of research and development of projects about sustainable development of rural areas and obtaining the optimum yield in plant and animal production.

In addition to undergraduate degree level qualification improves the level of knowledge in this field of xpertise. Produce theory and information, do research, take responsibility as a member of team or individual in subjects of planning, designing, implementation, monitoring and assessing, solving problems and similar engineering subjects related to Farm Structures and Irrigation.
