Being in 21st century and in a knowledge society, there is a huge need for researchers who will conduct interdisciplinary research studies about informatics and ICT combined with their main disciplines. Thus, this program is establish to fullfill the need for interdisciplinary research of all fields based on informatics and ICT. The program addresses the interdisciplinaery research areas of software engineering, cognitive sciences, modelling and simulation, medical informatics, bioinformatics, e-Learning, computer networks, neurosceince, audio and image processing, gamification, multimedia development, and human-computer interaction. Program will provide with graduates of these fields for knowledge society.

The purpose of the Online Informatics Program which is planned to be under Institute of Science of Ankara University is provide with highly qualified graduates who will analyze various areas in terms effective use of ICT and informatics, carry out interdisciplinary research of differenr disciplines, improve the quality of interdisciplinary research and adopt worldwide implementations different models and solutions in our culture.

Undergraduates of different disciplines can improve their knowledge of informatics and ICT, both in theoretical and applied way, by attending this program. Interprets necessary concepts and cognitive skills. Conduct research studies either as an indiviudal or as a group. Gain experience in the field and participates in necessary training and research opportunities for professional and academical development.
