About Program

Curriculum Development in Education Doctorate Program seeks to prepare candidates as curriculum professionals and researchers. In accordance with the Ankara University Graduate School of Educational Sciences Graduate Regulation, candidates who wish to pursue a degree for Ph.D., must hold a M.A. degree in Curriculum Development in Education. Also they must have ALES score and an English language proficiency score from accepted exams that meet the minimum criteria of the program.

Goals

The purpose of the Doctorate Program is to provide candidates well-equipped to evaluate implementations in the field of education and do comprehensive practical research with knowledge, skills and competences which is gained through master program. In addition to this, doctorate program provides research based education to candidates who want to deepen their knowledge, skills and competences in the field of Curriculum Development in Education. By this way, it is aimed to improve candidates research skills and contribute to the improvements in the field of Curriculum Development in Education. It also aims to improve knowledge, skills and competences in the field of Curriculum Development in Education of teachers who work in ministerial institutions and to contribute to their professional development. It seeks to prepare curriculum professionals who will work for Ministry of Education, public institutions, non-governmental organizations, private corporations and scholars for Education Faculties.




Summary of Program Outcomes

The graduates of Curriculum Development in Education Doctorate Program can make comprehensive researches by using advanced level of research skills; by participating in national and international researches they can defend their scientific knowledge by using effective communication strategies; they can lead these studies and bring innovations to the field. The graduates of Curriculum Development in Education Doctorate Program have competences to make functional evaluations and authentic suggestions in national and international areas for education systems and educational implementations in general and structures and practices of formal and informal education curricula in private.
