Goals The purpose of medical terminology, to ensure good communication between health care professionals and medical terms that are needed to teach the use of a common language and the concept of addiction and its types.
Course Content This course consists of the origin of medical language, the component parts of a medical term, basic prefix, suffixes and roots; the common rules for proper medical term formation, pronunciation, and spelling of medical terms; basic terms and abbreviations used in documenting health records; the common forms used in documenting the care of a patient; the common anatomical terms related to the major systems of the body; common terms related to symptoms, diagnoses, surgeries, therapies, and diagnostic test related to the major systems of the body; definition, scope and classification of addiction.
Learning Outcomes 1) He/She describe the origin of medical language.
2) He/She will be able to analyze the component parts of a medical term, basic prefix, suffixes and roots and combining forms to build medical terms.

5) Explains the medical terms related to skin, skeleton, muscle, nervous, digestive, endocrine, cardiovascular and respiratory systems and the structures that make up these terms.
6) Makes term analysis of skin, skeleton, muscle, nervous, digestive, endocrine, cardiovascular and respiratory systems.
7) Explains the concept of addiction and the types of addiction.
