Goals The main objective of this course is to examine urbanization processes, particularly in Turkey.
Course Content Basic concepts in urban sociology, historical background of urbanism, fieldworks in Turkey.
Learning Outcomes 1) Students gain knowledge in the social phenomena concerning cities.
2) Students gain skills in examining the urban research.
3) Students gain knowledge in basic concepts in urban sociology.
4) Students gain skills in examining the international literature on urban sociology.
5) Students gain experience in conducting a research on urban processes.
