Goals The aim of this course is to inform the dental assistant students about the anatomy of head and neck region
Course Content Lectures of this course will include: Bones of head and neck region, temporomandibular joint, musculatuıre of head and neck, vessels of head and neck, respiratory system, digestive system and nerves of head and neck.
Learning Outcomes 1) Identifies the bones of skull
2) Identifies the landmarks about temporomandibular joint and comprehend the basis of the temporomandibular joint disorders
3) Identifies the muscles of facial expression and muscles of mastivation
4) Identifies the vessels in head and neck region
5) Identifies the organs in respiratory tract and be informed about the respiration function
6) Identifies the digestive tract and be informed about the organs of the digestive system, recognizes and analyzes the oral cavity
7) Be informed about the basic principles of nervous system
