Goals The interpretation of the different "landscape layers" that form the present landscape, but in the past, through ecological, socio-cultural, political and economic driving forces, and thus the spatially expression of the connection between landscape and life story.
Course Content The terms of landscape and biography; History and transformation of landscape; Biography metaphor; Human as an actor and an important landscape-sahaping factor; Mental landscape; Sensory landscape; Various layers of landscape; Reading of Landscape; Critics on the biography concept; The relationship between landscape planning and landscape biography; Interpretation of the connectivity between transformations in the landscape and the history of ideas and behaviour patterns; Expression of this connectivity with different tools; Mapping of the connectivityfor landscape planning.
Learning Outcomes 1) Gaining of ability to discuss about all process which have created today's landscape such as ecologic, socio-economic, politic processes
2) Gaining of ability to discuss about the various landscape layers which have been resulted from these processes.
3) Gaining of ability to interpret of the connection between intellectual history and behavioral patterns of the l human communities and the landscape transformation .
