Goals Analysing the paradigms and policies that directs the teacher education in Turkey and around the worl; comparing the trends in teacher education and curriculum; and making predictions about the future of teacher education.
Course Content Paradigms and policies that directs the teacher education in Turkey and around the world.
Learning Outcomes 1) Analyze the milestones in teacher education in Turkey.
2) Analyze the milestones in teacher education in Europe.
3) Explain alternative paradigms in teacher education.
4) Explain the relationship between professionalism and teacher education.
5) Discuss the competencies that teacher educators should possess.
6) Prepare a research proposal about teacher education.
