Goals Aim of this course is to provide students with international perspectives on curricular issues. With this aim international organizations, international exams and curriculum studies in different countries will be examined.
Course Content Comparative education and its theoretical foundations; education, culture, curriculum and schooling process; globalization and its effect on education; international organizations; international exams; international schools and programs; social justice in education; methodology in comparative education; education in different countries.
Learning Outcomes 1) Interpret the terms as education, culture, curriculum and their interaction.
2) Discuss about globalization and internalization and their effect on education and curriculum.
3) Dicuss about social justice in education.
4) Explain the international organizations and international exams that influence on curriculum development processes.
5) Analyse a curriculum implemented abroad.
