Goals The aim of the course is to train students who have basic knowledge about science and scientific explanations and approaches, who are able to construct, conduct and report a scientific study, who have gained the basic rationale of research methods, who have critical thinking ability and Have knowledge about scientific ethics.
Course Content Balancing the use and protection of resources, ecosystem management, bioregional planning, holistic conservation and development policies, transboundary approaches and feasible management, challenges in sustainable soil, land and ecosystem management, and science and policy interfaces are the main topics of different platforms, panels and programs, concepts and contents, use of an interdisciplinary unifying conceptual framework, comparison of scientific, managerial and political elements, United Nations, Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and Intergovernmental Science Policy Interface Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), national land conservation policies, legal It covers the analysis of regulations and their applications, and the analysis and evaluation of selected policies and project applications.
Learning Outcomes 1) Grows knowledge about ecosystem management.
2) Learns about land conservation and the environment.
3) Compares scientific, managerial and political elements related to the use of natural resources and sustainable environmental management.
