Goals to learn digestion, absorption and metabolism of macro/micronutrients mechanisms and endocrine system integration
Course Content This course provides a foundation in the physiology of digestion, absorption and metabolism of macro/micronutrients with special emphasis on nutritional aspects of growth and development including infant, young child nutrition and aging. Integration with endocrine system will be discussed
Learning Outcomes 1) Have theoretical and practical knowledge related to the field of nutrition and metabolism.
2) Develop theoretical knowledge at the level of expertise based on basic competencies in the areas of food health nutrition and metabolism.and oral, gastric and intestinal parts of the gastrointestinal system
3) Idendify the interdisciplinary interaction of health- food- nutrition and metabolism fields.
