Goals The aim of this course is to help the student gain the knowledge, skills and competence required to study the fundamental concepts of critical thought.
Course Content Student is informed, in general, about the historical overview of critical thinking, definitions and components of critical thinking, critical thinking skills and strategies, characteristics of a critical thinker and literature and critical thinking.
Learning Outcomes 1) Recognises the different meanings of critical thinking together with its main concepts.
2) Discusses the background of critical thinking in general.
3) Evaluates the relationship between critical thinking and literature.
4) Points to the main critical thinking skills and strategies.
5) Applies critical thinking to literary and historical texts.
