Goals The course aims at acquainting students with the characteristics and techniques of neo-naturalist drama, kitchen-sink drama, epic drama, postmodern drama, in-yer-face drama as well as 21st Century British drama.
Course Content The course focuses on British drama produced in the late 20th century and early 21st century
Learning Outcomes 1) Students learn the phases and distinctive literary and formal features of contemporary English theater and evaluate other texts in this sense.
2) Students learn the historical development of theater as a literary genre and can distinguish texts according to these features.
3) Students can apply certain literary theories to dramatic texts.
4) Can present their ideas in written form
5) Can present research through written work and oral presentations
