Goals The aim of the course is to familiarise students with the main methods and theories of translation. The extracts from literary journals, novels, plays in both languages are translated in order to enrich the use of both mother and target languages.
Course Content The exracts from Turkish and English litrary texts will be translated in terms of certan methods and theories.
Learning Outcomes 1) To develop students’ English language usage skills: Listening, reading, speaking, and writing
2) To enable students to appreciate the literary texts within their cultural context
3) To bring together the English language and its usage as well as its cultural norms and paradigms
