Goals To provide mathematical knowledge that can help students to solve economical and financial problems that they will encounter in their professional life, and to provide students with easy problem solving habits by guiding the students towards correct thinking. To prepare the foundation in case of continuing the undergraduate education with vertical transfer.
Course Content Interest Rate Plans, Percentage Calculations, Costs, Sales, Profit and Loss Calculations, Interest Concept and Interest Varieties, Periodic Interest Rates, Interest Rates for Multiple Capitals, Discount Concept and Discount Types, Equivalent Bills, Maturity Account.
Learning Outcomes 1) It makes interest and discount calculations.
2) Expresses basic financial and economic issues mathematically.
3) Analytical approaches to the problems we face. It produces a solution.
4) Rate-ratio, percent, cost-sales-profit-loss, interest and discount calculations do.
5) Knows how to solve problems encountered.
6) Knows the mathematical solution methods that can be used for solving problems.
7) Approaches the events and problems related to the field with an analytical perspective.
