Goals In the manufacruring and rehabilitation process of patients using prostheses, evaluations that can be made in order to determine the problems caused by the patient or prosthesis, the principles to be considered in the selection of treatment approaches and the appropriate prosthetic modifications are taught.
Course Content It includes appropriate prosthetic, biomechanical and rehabilitative approaches in clinical decision making; the factors that affect the selection of methods and the importance of research methodology in manufacturing and clinical decision making.
Learning Outcomes 1) Determines the current capacity and functional status of patients
2) Analyzes the factors related to the selection of the prosthesis suitable for the current situation, solves the problems and makes clinical decisions in terms of prosthetics.
3) Decides on the selection of prosthesis and fittings suitable for the patient's characteristics.
4) Plans the design of the prosthesis required for the patient in terms of biomechanics.
5) Determines the prosthetic rehabilitation requirements required for the patient.
6) Provides, shares and presents information about the biomechanical and rehabilitative properties of patients' prostheses.
