Goals In this course; spinal vertebra biomechanics and principles of bracing in spinal vertebral pathologies and trauma, production and application principles with biomechanical aspects; Orthotic designs suitable for the patient will be discussed.
Course Content In this course; the evaluation of the patient in terms of orthosis for spinal vertebral pathologies and traumas, the selection, production and application principles of the appropriate orthosis will be covered.
Learning Outcomes 1) Comprehends and analyzes the level of influence of functions according to the level of spinal injuries.
2) Selects and designs the spinal orthosis suitable for the patient.
3) Compares varies spinal orthosis designs in terms of biomechanics.
4) Informs the individual and/or family about the use of spinal orthoses.
5) Will be able to plan research for the design and production of Spinal Orthoses.
